Homeownership Opportunities for Women (HOW), a coalition of 32 members and growing, was formed in June of 1996 with the commitment to raise the homeownership rate for women. 

HOW was established to echo the national plan and broaden homeownership opportunities for women throughout the four state area (Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska). A group of women from a variety of backgrounds, HOW believes that homeownership is the "American Dream" and that a woman's place may very well be....a home of her own. 

Working together, HOW is committed to removing the barriers to homeownership that women face and increasing the number of women homeowners in the four state area.
